The Scotiabank Jamaica Foundation (SJF)
The Scotiabank Jamaica Foundation was established on February 13, 1996 with an endowment fund of $100 million. This fund now stands at $284 million.
Since its inception, the Foundation has donated over $362 million to Education, Health and Community projects Jamaica. In 2005, the donations totaled $61.8 million.
The Scotiabank Jamaica Foundation is guided by the principles to assist in alleviating poverty, deprivation, distress among economically and socially disadvantaged individuals and their dependents: and to undertake research into these problems, along with methods of addressing them.
