Mission Statement

The mission of the Ministry of Agriculture is to advance the development of a modern, efficient and competitive agricultural sector which promotes National food security; Export expansion and the growth of Agro-Industries.

Vision 

The long-term vision of the Ministry of Agriculture is the dynamic transformation of the Jamaican Agricultural sector by the year 2020.The sector should be experiencing a sustained, research oriented, technological, market-driven and private sector led revolution, which will revitalise rural communities, create strong linkages with other sectors and emphatically reposition the sector in the national economy.
