Mission Statement:
"To support the long term economic and physical development of the nation by providing quality insurance service, promoting sound fiscal disciplines and capitalization criteria amongst the membership, and being proactive in public awareness of insurance related issues."

General Information:
Established in 1963, the Jamaica Association of General Insurance Companies addresses interests and concerns of general insurers in Jamaica. The Association meets on a monthly basis to review these matters.

Through the organization, the general insurance industry is able to communicate with other areas of the industry such as brokers, agents and the government.
