The Shipping Association of Jamaica (SAJ) represents shipping companies operating at Port of Kingston (Port Bustamante) and other ports in the island. Its membership includes shipping agents, wharf owners, terminal operators, stevedoring companies, ship owners/operators, freight operators and other companies providing allied services.

In its service to its membership SAJ has been at the forefront of the modernization process of port operations at the Port of Kingston. Its initiatives in the creation of an internationally competitive port include the formation of a company, which handles the increasingly sophisticated port information requirements through computerization. Currently, Port Computer Service Ltd. (PCS) is the central provider of data processing services for shipping companies in and around Port Bustamante.
