CVM Television Ltd is committed to ensuring Jamaica can see the world and the
world can see us due to our knowledge and ability to take full advantage of
advanced technology. CVM TV is committed to being a part of that ‘gateway to
the world’ by ensuring that the uplink technical requirements are in place.
Mission Statement
CVM Television Limited is committed to providing efficient television and
communication services to our audience through a mix of local and international
programmes, which are designed to inform, educate and entertain, and to provide
quality and efficient services to our customers. We are also committed to
providing continuous training and development of staff and the preservation of
the environment, while seeking to earn a reasonable return on investment for
our shareholders.
Over View of the Company
CVM Television started out as a fairly small operation in 1993 having its
entire operation in one area at 9 South Odeon Avenue. All its local programmes
were produced through an affiliated production house, Mediamix Ltd. CVM TV
attempts to offer a variety of attractive and competitive services to its
advertisers and viewers and strives to improve on its productivity, efficiency
and effectiveness of services to the public. Today the Company can proudly
boast of its achievements and its development at its new home at Blaise Industrial
Park, 69
Constant Spring Road. The company now has a Board
of nine Directors and a Company Secretary, five departments with a staff
complement of 106, including the General Manager and five Senior Managers, and
a subsidiary company, CVM Productions Ltd. CVM endeavors to bring to the
public, fair and fearless News, locally produced and foreign entertainment of
the highest quality.The Company is represented on Boards such as The Media
Association of Jamaica, the National Crime Prevention Fund, National Drug Abuse
Association,the Ward Theatre, The Caribbean Broadcasting Union, and PALS
Jamaica, and works with organizations such as the Office of Disaster
Preparedness & Emergency Management, The United Way, Hands Across Jamaica,
St Patrick’s Foundation, Father Holung and the Mustard Seed Community, and
assists in the promoting of charity and fundraising events for many needy
organizations.
