Guided by quality management principles the Scientific Research Council is a centre of excellence that utilizes innovation, scientific and technical information and knowledge for transformation and sustainable development, positively impacting the quality of life of all Jamaicans. 
The SRC is divided into six divisions - Technical Support Services which includes the Food Technology Institute, Product Research and Development,  Human Resource and Administration,  Process Development, Information Services and Finance. Marketech Limited, a subsidiary, performs the Council’s marketing, business development and communications functions.
